JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the university's training and development efforts by co-managing New Faculty and Staff Orientation, designing and delivering training programs, supporting utilization and administration of the Training Management System (TMS), and collaborating with stakeholders to identify best practices for workforce development, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture through continuous learning initiatives.
JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Workforce Learning-Orientation Coordination:
Co-manage the university's New Faculty and Staff Orientation program by overseeing content development and updates, designing communication strategies, selecting and coordinating presenters, facilitating sessions, sourcing and preparing materials, tracking attendance, and evaluating program effectiveness. Additionally, maintain and modify content for the online orientation module to ensure consistency and relevance. Collaborate with the Training & Onboarding team to analyze orientation needs and feedback, implementing continuous improvements to enhance the overall experience for new employees.
30% - Essential - Workforce Learning-Training and Instructional Design:
Conduct needs assessments across all levels of the organization to identify learning requirements for courses and programs. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design, develop, and refine training content and materials both online and in person using Adult Learning Principles to ensure content is engaging, well-organized, and aligned with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors essential for faculty and staff success. Deliver and facilitate training through a variety of instructional methods, including interactive online learning experiences and instructor led training sessions, to meet the university's evolving training needs and maximize learning effectiveness. Serve as a trainer, resource, and mentor for other university-wide trainers.
10% - Essential - Workforce Learning-Training and Program Coordination:
Design and develop agendas, curriculum, learning tools, and program materials for training and onboarding programs, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and instructional best practices. Coordinate logistical aspects of training and development programs, including setting up event and workshop schedules, sourcing and preparing materials, and securing external instructors or presenters. Work closely with the Training & Onboarding team to support the effective implementation of training initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and participant engagement across various learning formats.
20% - Essential - Training Management System Administration and Logistics:
Support the Training and Onboarding Specialist by serving as the secondary point of contact for TMS customer service, including troubleshooting issues, escalating concerns, and managing user role assignments to ensure effective platform utilization. Administer and update training information within the TMS, including generating reports and analyzing system usage to support data-driven decision-making. Oversee scheduling and logistics for HR and university training courses and programs, leveraging the TMS whenever possible to enhance visibility and accessibility of upcoming training opportunities across multiple channels.
10% - Essential - Workforce Development:
Partner with the Training, Development, and Retention team to develop and implement techniques, strategies, and curriculum that support workforce development. Facilitate tailored organizational and team development assessments and workshops to address workforce needs, adapt to evolving structures, and enhance efficiency. Foster a collaborative, high-performing Clemson culture by equipping teams with the resources and knowledge needed to drive results and continuous improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree
Work Exp 3+ years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Master's Degree - with Learning Management System (LMS) including content management, user support, or system admin

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Band: 06 ($ 46,655.00 - $ 56,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
