JOB SUMMARY:

 

Functions as office manager providing administrative and accounting support for the county office.  Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

40% - Essential - Administrative Support:  Manages daily office operations including telephone calls and visitors.  Provides administrative support to the district director, the county coordinator, and county staff including preparing general and confidential correspondences such as news articles, reports, program materials.
40% - Non-Essential - Accounting Support:  Processes daily accounting transactions including payables, reimbursements, and invoices.  Serves as the credit card liaison and requisitioner in CU buyWays.   Prepares receipts of grant, gift, and revenue funds according to University policies and procedures.  Coordinates deposits with second assigned person and ensures deposit information is provided to the CAFLS Business Office.
10% - Non-Essential - Provides financial reports utilizing CUBS queries for monthly reports to professional staff.  Reconcile non-grant budget status reports and revenue reports monthly.  Ensure reports are reviewed and approved by the district director.
10% - Essential - Maintains current files pertaining to extension policies and procedures including the Civil Rights files subject to federal audit.  Set up and ensure mileage logs are utilized by drivers in all county assigned state vehicles for vehicle use accountability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education -  High School or Equivalent - Work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  60% - Stand for prolonged period
  20% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
  20% - Walk or move about

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

   5% - Exposure to heat or cold
   5% - Wet or humid

WORK SCHEDULE:

 

Standard Hours: 37.5

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Anticipated Salary Range: $40,000 - 48,300
 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
