JOB SUMMARY:
The Information Systems Business Analyst III plays a key role in supporting and enhancing Clemson University's research grant application system. This position provides comprehensive technical and customer service support, ensures seamless system functionality, and collaborates with university staff to maintain cohesive web and eForm designs. Through process improvement, effective documentation, and user-focused enhancements, the Analyst supports principal investigators (PIs) and staff in achieving research excellence.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - System Administration Support:
Responsible for managing and improving the InfoEd research grant system to enhance the experience of users, while working on eforms, modules and web administration. The role involves troubleshooting account issues, implementing eForm updates and workflow revisions, enabling user notifications, and delivering quality-of-life improvements. In addition, this position ensures compliance with Clemson University's branding and website standards by maintaining unit-specific web content. XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript / XSLT exposure.
25% - Essential - Technology Support:
Provide day-to-day system support for InfoEd users, including troubleshooting account access issues and resolving user queries. Enable user notifications and reporting functionalities to improve system engagement and usability. Assist in the design and implementation of system enhancements within InfoEd's capabilities, such as eForm updates and additional system features.
15% - Essential - Process Improvement:
Work closely with university units to identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency within InfoEd workflows. Collaborate on the implementation of revised eForms and workflows to support evolving university research needs. Continuously analyze system feedback to recommend and execute feature upgrades and process optimizations.
5% - Essential - Customer service focus:
Act as a primary point of contact for InfoEd users, ensuring timely resolution of system-related inquiries and issues. Provide clear communication and training resources to empower users in navigating InfoEd effectively. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including principal investigators and research staff, to understand their system needs.
5% - Essential - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed system documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting steps, and release notes for updates. Generate and provide analytical reports from InfoEd to inform decision-making and demonstrate system performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and document visually engaging enhancements for InfoEd communications and interfaces.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School or Equivalent and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Associate's Degree - information technology or related computer field

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range ($ 52,100.00 - $ 70,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
