JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Outcomes and Assessment in the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine provides leadership in the Office of Academic Affairs by developing and implementing the overall strategy for programmatic outcomes assessment. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the director will provide curricular guidance with an emphasis on student learning outcomes, competency progression and evidence-based curricular improvements. This individual will oversee the administration and analysis of student data, compile reports to meet accreditation requirements, and assist college faculty and administration in curricular improvements based on current literature, assessments and identified outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Programmatic Assessment Oversight:
Design, development, and implement a comprehensive analytics and assessment program for the CVM program. Manage the assessment tools and instruments utilized to facilitate data collection and analysis within the college including Medtrics and Canvas.
30% - Essential - Data Collection and Analysis:
Oversee the collection, analysis and interpretation of data from all internal and external stakeholders. Create reports for internal and external data review. Provide all data and reports for accreditation standards.
20% - Essential - Curriculum Management:
Based on outcomes data, identify opportunities for programmatic improvement and communicate those to the Office of Academic Affairs, the Director of Teaching and Learning and the curricular delivery team. Collaborate with the staff within the Office of Academic Affairs to ensure continuous improvement of the DVM program. Serve as a non-voting member of the CVM Curriculum Committee.
10% - Essential - Supervision and Support:
Supervise a team of people dedicated to supporting outcomes assessment, including an Assessment Coordinator and Clerkship Outcomes Coordinator. Offer guidance and support to faculty and staff in assessment training, planning and execution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree in an educational, data management, or related field
Experience - 5 years of experience in outcomes data management
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree in Veterinary Education
Experience - 5 years of experience with outcomes and/or assessment related to veterinary education

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Anticipated Hiring Range ($78,500.00 - $126,500.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
