JOB SUMMARY:

 

Clemson University's Advancement Marketing Team is looking for a Volunteer Board Coordinator to fulfill the following duties:

  • The Volunteer Board Coordinator coordinates and manages project activities within Advancement to maintain files, records, and other data. 
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Director of Volunteer Board Management and the volunteer engagement program. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

30% - Essential - Administrative: 
Maintains files, records, applications and other data related to the Order of the Oak ambassadors. Provides administrative support for the Director of Volunteer Board Management and the volunteer engagement program. Manages administrative tasks including, but not limited to: scheduling and meeting preparation and prep and debrief meetings with key stakeholders.
30% - Essential - Communications:
Maintains consistent and professional communication with volunteers through various channels of communication. Prepares necessary materials for meetings; attends meetings; provides meeting minutes; and uploads materials to digital board portal. Drafts surveys, reports, email and other communications.
20% - Essential - Data Management:
Serves as the coordinator for records management and data entry for volunteer engagement and activity in the database. Assists in evaluating program effectiveness and impact through documentation, analysis, tracking and trend reports.
20% - Essential - Meeting Logistics:
Collaborates with partners in Advancement to confirm necessary preparations for Order of the Oak meetings and activities. Includes working with Advancement Events team on reservations, catering, AV needs, equipment rentals, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education -  Bachelor's Degree
 

Work Experience - 2+ years in communication or volunteer engagement. Experience in administrative support with strong communication and writing skills preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and scheduling tools preferred.

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

  10% - Exposure to heat or cold
   5% - Wet or humid
   5% - Noise

WORK SCHEDULE:

 

Standard Hours: 37.5/week

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Expected Salary Range: $ 38,985.00 - $ $45,000.00
 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
