Clemson University's College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences is looking for a Student Services Program Coordinator II. The coordinator will work in the General Engineering Advising center and perform the following duties:


- advises and supports undergraduate general engineering students to aid in timely and successful degree progress,
- assesses student needs and identifies and refers students to resources,
- develops and implements student programs to support retention and engagement, and
- perform other duties as assigned.


The individual hired will be responsible for serving as a liaison to our college first-year retention programs and implementing advising initiatives unique to those programs. The coordinator will also work closely with the college's student engagement staff to ensure that advisors have information and resources needed to discuss co-curricular opportunities with general engineering students. They will be responsible for developing and coordinating advising processes and programming to encourage the integration of curricular and co-curricular opportunities into student plans.

40% - Essential - Course Selection: Advises and counsels students on course selection and registration procedures. Advising case load will be assigned based on the needs of the department. Develops and maintains confidential records.
20% - Essential - Academic Progress: Advises and counsels students on academic progress. Advises and counsels students on University and departmental policies, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to other campus resources as needed. Serves as a key resource to faculty and administrative officers regarding student information and policies.
20% - Essential - Program Coordination: Plans and organizes student centered initiatives, programs, or events (e.g., outreach and developmental programming, orientation, Bridge and transfer programs, advising communications, software implementation, event coordination). Maintains schedule, manages logistics, recruits participants for initiatives, communicates and reports on program outcomes. Guides the work of other advisors and staff participating in these initiatives. Attends relevant meetings and serves as liaison for the department.
20% - Essential - Service: Participates in departmental, College, and University wide initiatives related to advising and student success by providing staff support, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a successful program. Assists with College recruiting and engagement programming as needed.
