JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Director of Graduate Program Review and Effectiveness is responsible for organizing and coordinating all activities related to graduate academic program review, ensuring departments, schools, and programs are well-supported. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

40% - Essential - Program Review Process, Review, and Reporting:
Implements a systematic periodic review of graduate programs informed by best practices and forward-thinking aspirational peer institutions (as well as input from Clemson University faculty / staff / leadership) that aligns with the needs of SACSCOC and CHE, provides detailed information to support continuous quality improvement of graduate education at Clemson, incorporates external review, is minimally burdensome to faculty and departments, and is synergistic with accreditation.
35% - Essential - Collaboration:
Works with Graduate School leaders to provide all training necessary to faculty reviewers, program coordinators, department chairs, and other leaders involved in graduate program review; work with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to ensure the Graduate School policies and processes align with the needs of SACSCOC accreditation and leave Clemson optimally prepared for affirmation and accreditation periods.
10% - Essential - Data Systems:
Works with Graduate School, Institutional Research, Business Intelligence and/or other university staff to obtain basic mastery to work with current and future university systems in order to perform basic data queries, construct summary tables, and help provide support to programs and the graduate dean where possible and needed.
10% - Essential - Compliance:
Works on special projects as assigned by the graduate dean to ensure that the university is operating in accord with the needs of the CHE and that policies and processes create efficiencies where possible.
5% - Essential - Graduate School Annual Assessment:
Leads the Graduate School annual assessment process, coordinating all details of all required reporting, from planning and input from Graduate School staff and leadership on priorities and metrics, to assessment, to final reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education - Master's Degree and experience in university academic assessment
Work Experience 3+ years

RESPONSIBILITIES

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Expected Salary Range: $ 69,765.00 - $ 75,000.00

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
