JOB SUMMARY:
Performs executive-level professional duties developing, directing and evaluating a complex financial and managerial accounting or budgeting system in a state agency or institution. Develops and maintains banking and related systems. Organizes and manages program compliance for banking. Responsible for supervising daily operations and ensuring a safe, productive environment by overseeing daily workflows and fostering a collaborative environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
25% - Essential - Strategy: Develops, executes and optimizes the University's banking and financial services strategy. Builds and manages the unique relationships between the University's multiple banking partners, financial service providers, the State Treasurer's Office, and University stakeholders. Analyzes market trends to identify new products to meet the University's goals and objectives. Develops and implements policies related to University cash and banking activities. Identifies opportunities for automation and process improvement.
25% - Essential - Compliance: Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management standards. Manages the University's reporting for and compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. Manages the University's escheatment compliance program. Actively monitors developing banking risk areas to ensure compliance. Educates stakeholders on compliance issues and fraud activities. Ensures that system and operational internal controls are in place for risk mitigation.
25% - Essential - Systems: Manages the administration, performance, and daily operations of the Workday banking and settlement system and Touchnet e-commerce platform. Collaborates with business analysts and other IT stakeholders to drive decisions on banking systems issues, ensuring that systems enhancements meet the needs of the University.
25% - Essential - Account Monitoring: Monitors bank account activity, on-line banking access and users. Monitors returned items. Monitors bank statements and supports Accounting Services with reconciliation activities. Manages acceptance of credit cards on campus and merchant account setup. Processes unclaimed property and reports/remits to the State Treasurer. Monitors unclaimed property websites for amounts due to the University.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Develops Department Budgets - Responsible for developing one or more departmental budget(s). Estimated amount of budgetary responsibility in dollar amount must be added.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Band: G13 (Anticipated Range: $ 92,300.00 - $ 130,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
