JOB SUMMARY:

Provides administrative and operational support to the Dean's Executive Leadership Team, coordinating initiatives across curriculum, faculty affairs, and program management. Serves as a central point of integration for committees, faculty awards, and faculty lifecycle processes, including tenure, promotion, and reappointment, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with college priorities. Collaborates across departments to advance recruitment, engagement, and development efforts, while also supporting the Trilith program through academic planning, student experience, accreditation, and risk management. Collaboration required to adapt responsibilities as needed, supporting staffing transitions, system implementations, and other priorities to maintain business continuity. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Faculty Affairs Coordination:  Provides comprehensive coordination and administrative oversight for faculty affairs processes, including tenure, promotion, and reappointment (TPR), post-tenure review, and annual performance evaluations. Receives and processes faculty transcripts and submits approved credential packets to the Office of Institutional Research. Ensures all personnel files are complete, accurate, and compliant with Faculty Manual (FM) policies, university procedures, and established deadlines, while maintaining strict confidentiality. Supports faculty onboarding by coordinating orientation seminars. Maintains the roster of CAH departmental assessment coordinators and monitors faculty compliance with required processes. Administers the sabbatical request cycle and manages annual college and university elections in alignment with FM requirements.  Supports CAH Faculty Senate election process.
30% - Essential - Strategic Initiative Support:  Provides strategic and operational oversight for academic planning and program execution, including management of Trilith course scheduling, student enrollment, and group travel logistics. Leads program promotion and recruitment efforts in collaboration with MarCom and Clemson University Enrollment Management, supporting marketing initiatives, admissions processes in Slate, and matriculation of non-Clemson students, while actively engaging prospective students through class visits, interest sessions, and external partner outreach. Enhances the student experience by coordinating with academic advisors, facilitating pre-departure orientations, and collecting and analyzing student feedback to inform continuous improvement. Ensures program quality and compliance by overseeing faculty credentialing and partnering with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to meet accreditation standards set by CHE, SACSCOC, GNPEC, and NASAD. Maintains responsibility for program assessment and ongoing enhancement initiatives. Upholds risk management protocols by ensuring adherence to Domestic Field Study policies and proactively addressing all health and safety concerns in accordance with university procedures.
15% - Essential - Special Projects:  Leads and supports special projects on behalf of the Associate Dean's Office, serving as a primary point of contact and representing the office in interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Manages scheduling for CAH Associate Deans, the Director of Academic Operations, and the Chief of Staff, ensuring strategic alignment and efficient project prioritization. Collaborates cross-functionally with college staff and administrative partners across all CAH departments to advance initiatives related to recruitment, engagement, and development, driving coordinated execution and high-quality outcomes.
10% - Essential - Committee Coordinator:  Serves as the primary coordinator for the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) Curriculum Committee and the Dean's Staff Advisory Council (DSAC), managing end-to-end curriculum processes and ensuring alignment with university timelines and requirements. Responsibilities include scheduling and facilitating monthly committee meetings, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and establishing internal deadlines for the collection and submission of agenda items. Oversees planning and execution of annual DSAC events. Provides administrative and operational support to review committees for the CAH Dean and department chairs, contributing to efficient and effective evaluation processes.
10% - Essential - Faculty Awards Coordinator: Serves as the primary point of contact for faculty awards, providing guidance and support on application and nomination processes, including use of the online submission system. Coordinates the end-to-end administration of faculty awards, including scheduling and attending meetings, tracking timelines, and ensuring adherence to all deadlines. Provides administrative and operational support to the CAH Dean's Faculty and Staff Awards Committee, facilitating an efficient review process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.  A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Salary Range ($ 52,100.00 - $ 65,000.00)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
