JOB SUMMARY:

 

Under the general direction of the CAFLS Financial Analyst, in a team-centered environment, serve as a resource for The College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences faculty and staff providing accounts payable and receivable support to assigned unit(s). Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

40% - Essential - Accounts Payable: Performs daily accounts payable duties including Concur (P-card liaison & travel), BuyWays (requisitioner/invoice handler), and Student and CU Foundation (CUF) vouchers in a prompt and accurate manner that is in compliance with Federal, State, and CU or CUF policies and procedures. Process reimbursements to visitors for travel or other reimbursable expenditures in a prompt and accurate manner.
30% - Essential - Accounts Receivable: Performs daily accounts receivable duties related to external web invoicing & processing deposits in a prompt and accurate manner. Monitors outstanding receivables, contacting faculty and department chair for items >120 days outstanding. Prepares transmittal for CUF deposits.
20% - Essential - Department Support: Provides general inquiry assistance to employees on the use of the Concur and/or BuyWays system as well as policies and procedures. Investigates outstanding Concur transactions, reimbursements, and BuyWays invoices. Inquiries for detailed budget information or analysis should be referred to the appropriate Financial Analyst or Post Award Accountant.
10% - Essential: Maintain audit compliant expenditure and revenue/receipt files for review, reconciliation, or audit. Stay abreast of policies and procedures related to the assigned duties through the CU policies and procedures web pages, Procurement web site, email alerts received on changes, training on-line or in person, or updates and guidance provided by the college business office or the college post-award office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:  High School or Equivalent - and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial le
Work Experience: 2+ years - professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, or finance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education: 1st Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, finance, or business management

RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Anticipated Salary Range: ($43,800.00 - $58,200.00)
 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
