Associate Director of CCIT Communications

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of CCIT Communications oversees the day-to-day operations of the division's communication needs providing communication plans and deliverables for complex University-wide IT projects and updates to the divisional website. Serves as member of the Operational Communications Leadership Team. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

50% - Strategic Organizational Communications:
Directs the planning, development, editorial content, production and evaluation of informational and promotional digital media material. Responsible for service and product-specific marketing/communications plans and execution to include events, and new or existing service offerings and projects. Provides monthly organization updates to internal CCIT stakeholders. Provides internal communication related to activities for events, town halls, etc. Responsible for developing social digital media strategy and the execution of strategy on various social and digital media platforms. Contributes to CCIT Annual Reports and related materials. Produces video content for various purposes.

20% - Organizational Change Management Communications:
Assists with deploying the vision & strategy for internal change communication to faculty, staff & students. Assists with content creation as it relates to change management communications for strategic imperatives & critical transformation initiatives. Partners in deployment of the OCM communication plan through collaboration w/other internal/external communications teams to align on communication opportunities, message sequencing & best practices. Assists in ensuring change communications are coordinated & focused, driving towards adoption & engagement. Works closely with unit & centralized communicators, stakeholders & work streams to produce compelling content that maximizes the success & adoption of change. Parters with other communication leads to develop joint communication plans for cross-unit projects & initiatives.

20% - Unit-Level Communication:
Operational Communication - Creates campus-wide notifications as needed for the unit. Event Communication - specific events held/hosted by the unit/ department. Website Content Maintenance and Event-Specific Web Development - this includes responsibility for maintaining and updating relevant content on the CCIT website related to the assigned units/departments as well as web development for any new or existing projects as assigned. Ensures policies and procedures governing the release of agency information are followed.

10% - Personnel Management:
Supervises and directs the work of the CCIT Communication team, to include student interns, to assist with communication-specific projects for the organization.

Education -  Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education -  Master's Degree
Work Experience 5+ years
