JOB SUMMARY:
Position directs personnel management processes for University Facilities representing 400+ full time staff. Acts as a liaison to Central HR, Risk Services, and Payroll. Oversees staff who ensures payroll is submitted accurately & timely. Supports University Facilities in all stages of the Employee Life Cycle.
JOB DUTIES:
35% - Essential - Employee Life Cycle: Support all stages, including onboarding, performance management, leave management, while ensuring compliance with applicable policies. Lead and participate in new employee orientation and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Track and maintain records necessary for fiscal, operational, or compliance reporting. Manage offboarding processes such as system access removal, and final documentation. Handle sensitive information appropriately and in accordance with confidentiality guidelines. Engage with staff to stay aware of challenges and opportunities, meet deadlines for planning and performance reviews, support professional development and training, and promote positive working relationships that contribute to an effective work environment.
30% - Essential - Talent Management: Works in collaboration with department managers for recruiting needs to include advertising, coordinating interviews if needed, submitting background checks request, and appropriate approvals. Enters recruiting information into Tiger Talent. Validates new hire information in HR/Timekeeping Systems. Coordinates department on-boarding activities for University Facilities new hires assisting with integration to the department. Keep track of progress and assists with Onbase submissions to maintain a high-level completion rate according to HR specified timeline for Facilities. Responsible for tracking FTE, TLP, and temp positions. Provides input and executes.
20% - Essential - Payroll, Leave and Timekeeping Liaison: Maintains expert level and comprehensive knowledge of CUBS HR system and the University's time-keeping system. Oversees department communication with staff responsible for ensuring no missed punches and that all leave is entered accurately for University Facilities. Reviews and audits pay sheets each pay period, verifying pay lines for accuracy. Runs reports for payroll and HR as requested. Supervises and directs all student, temporary, and intermittent hiring process for Facilities. Maintains working knowledge of HR policy and procedures communicating changes to department managers as required. Practices continuous improvement for area.
15% - Essential - Training and Development: Develop and facilitate training programs and topics for department specific needs such as implementation of new policies and systems. Assists colleagues of Workforce, Safety and Development in the creation and implementation of training and programs that maximize employee potential and support the Career Progression Program. Presents on position related topics at leadership and management meetings. May help with special projects or duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Exp 3+ years business office administrative, payroll, or human resource support.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range; ($ 53,100.00 - $ 66,800.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
