JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University is looking for a Sr. Applications Analyst to fulfill the following duties:
- Performs as a senior applications analyst with an extensive scope of responsibility for a large complex data warehouse initiative, including data management and security.
- Consults with University officials to assess needs and develop plans to design and implement software solutions for business intelligence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
55% - Essential - Applications Analysis:
Participates in the designing, building, and supporting of components of data warehouse, such as ETL processes, databases, reports, and reporting environments. Designs data warehouse schemas and data integration infrastructures to support business intelligence reporting and online analytical processing. Maintains an inventory of University data and ensures proper security schemas exist for the protection of University data as an enterprise resource. Researches technical subject matter and makes recommendations.
25% - Essential - Collaboration:
Establishes close communications and a good working relationship with customers. Maintains frequent direct communications with members of the Data Steward committee and IT Governance committee.
15% - Essential - Project Management:
Provides a leadership role for complex information technology projects in data warehousing, business intelligence, data management and security. Participates in the development and deployment of project and task plans, resource estimates and schedules.
5% - Essential - Other:
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science or a related area
Work Experience - Experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience - 5+ Years
- Experience writing SQL, developing ETL processes, and using reporting tools and performing data cleansing functions
- Experience utilizing Informatica Data Integration, SAP Data Integration, and Snowflake.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range: ($ 57,334.00 - $ 95,891.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
