JOB SUMMARY:
Lead the execution and operationalization of strategic initiatives for the college, aligned with the goals, priorities, and framework set by the Dean and Provost.
JOB DUTIES:
25% - Essential - STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP: Lead the execution and operationalization of strategic initiatives for the college, aligned with the goals, priorities, and framework set by the Dean and Provost. Oversee the implementation of new initiatives by establishing and communicating equitable, metrics-based assessment tools. Ensure the smooth operation of the college by maintaining clear policies and quality control measures. Exercise independent judgment to prioritize issues requiring the Dean's attention and track the progress of all projects until completion.
25% - Essential - SPACE MANAGEMENT: Optimize the use of facilities and allocate space according to the needs of the college and departments, adhering to responsibility-based budgeting and CAAC's space assignment policies. Collaborate with the University Facilities office to address concerns, safety issues, and ensure regular maintenance. In coordination with the Dean's office program coordinator, oversee the assignment and training of Building Security personnel for safe and efficient space management.
20% - Essential - COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND WELL-BEING: Lead college-level wellness and community engagement activities alongside the events coordinator. Manage and prioritize the events coordinator's assignments across the college units. Support the Dean by identifying and engaging relevant University resources to resolve critical issues, including conflict resolution, stakeholder concerns, and crisis management.
15% - Essential - ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP: Provide administrative leadership and support to faculty and staff in advancing the Dean's initiatives. Represent the Dean on committees, boards, and commissions as needed. Track and follow up on actions to ensure resolution of issues for the Dean and direct reports. Proactively identify important information, elevate issues to the Dean with potential resolutions in a timely manner.
15% - Essential - SUPERVISION & MANAGEMENT: Manage the daily operations of the Dean's office, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration. Align short-term goals with the Dean's long-term objectives. Organize and follow up on activities for all advisory boards (faculty, industry/alumni, student). Directly supervise the college's event coordinator and Dean's office program coordinator, and assist with the supervision, professional development, and performance evaluation of other staff members within the college.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - A bachelor's degree and relevant experience in administrative services, public administration, business management or related field.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range ($83,219.00 - $110,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
