The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University seeks candidates for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in experimental biophysics starting August 2025. The successful applicant will develop a research program at the frontier of biological physics/biophysics relevant to health-related sciences, contribute to developing the Medical Biophysics M.S. and Ph.D. program, and complement and extend existing research strengths.

The successful applicant will join a thriving Physics department with internationally-recognized, cutting-edge programs in experimental, computational, and theoretical biological physics, single molecule biophysics, advanced materials, condensed matter theory, astrophysics, atmospheric and space physics, experimental and theoretical quantum physics.

About the Department:
Clemson offers a rich environment of synergistic resources including: the Eukaryotic Pathogens Innovation Center, The Center for Human Genetics, the Advance Materials Innovation Complex, the South Carolina Translational Research Improving Musculoskeletal Health (SC-TRIMH), the Palmetto Computing Center, the Clemson Light Imaging facility, the Electron Microscopy facility, the AIRISE Institute and the Watt AI program.
