Student Services Program Coordinator II

Advises and supports undergraduate students to aid in timely and successful degree progress. Assesses student needs and identifies and refers students to resources. Develops and implements student programs to support retention and engagement. Performs other duties as assigned.

40% - Essential - Course Selection: 
Advises and counsels students on course selection and registration procedures. Advising case load will be assigned based on the needs of the department. Develops and maintains confidential records.

40% - Essential - Academic Progress: 
Advises and counsels students on academic progress. Advises and counsels students on University and departmental policies, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to other campus resources as needed. Serves as a key resource to faculty and administrative officers regarding student information and policies.

10% - Essential - Program Coordination: 
Plans and organizes student centered initiatives, programs, or events (e.g. outreach and developmental programming, orientation, bridge and transfer programs, advising communications, software implementation, event coordination). Maintains schedule, manages logistics, recruits participants for initiatives, communicates and reports on program outcomes. Guides the work of other advisors and staff participating in these initiatives. Attends relevant meetings and serves as liaison for the department.

10% - Essential - Student Service: 
Participates in departmental, College, and University wide initiatives related to advising and student success by providing staff support, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a successful program. Assists with College recruiting and engagement programming as needed.
