JOB SUMMARY:Provides timely and appropriate student services for the Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (AVS). Schedules courses and registers students for classes. Coordinates and maintains student records. Serves as an undergraduate advisor and mentor. Manages departmental social media. Provides administrative support and performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:50% - Essential - Departmental Registration Coordinator: Schedules and manages all departmental courses in university systems. Registers students into classes that require instructor approval and aids students in resolving registration problems. Coordinates and maintains records of 400+ undergraduate students. Prepares statistical reports on students for the Chair and Faculty. Collects and maintains FERPA records required for teaching assistants in the AVS department. Campus coordinator for Great Plains AG*Idea 30% - Essential - Advising: Serves as an undergraduate advisor and mentor. Assigns undergraduate advisees to faculty advisors. Assists the AVS Student Services Manager with new student and transfer orientation sessions and planning.
