JOB SUMMARY:
Performs preventive maintenance on (HVAC) systems in University Housing to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Trains less experienced employees in the HVAC field.
JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - Equipment Maintenance: Performs routine and preventive maintenance on various types of air handling/conditioning equipment and building mechanical systems. Including but not limited to single and multi-zone systems, dual duct, terminal reheat, variable volume, fan coil, air handling units, compressed air equipment hydroponic pumps, heat exchangers, actuated valves, circuit setting valves, heat recovery systems and all associated piping along with control systems both pneumatic and electronic.
30% - Essential - Minor Equipment Repairs: Performs minor repairs and upgrades on various types of air handling/conditioning equipment and building mechanical systems. Including but not limited to single and multi-zone systems, dual duct, terminal reheat, variable volume, fan coil, air handling units, compressed air equipment hydroponic pumps, heat exchangers, actuated valves, circuit setting valves, heat recovery systems and all associated piping along with control systems both pneumatic and electronic.
10% - Essential - Safety, training and Customer Service: Maintains a safe and clean work area and vehicle. Trains other employees in the HVAC field as needed. Communication & Customer Service is high priority in all job duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Formal training or trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
Licenses - Driver's License Class D normal
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience: 3+ years

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:000pm, occasional weekends and subject to callbacks. Standard Hours: 40
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range: ($ 34,500.00 - $ 41,300.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Essential Level 2 employee
Required to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
