The School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering is a fully integrated tenure-granting graduate school within the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Science at Clemson University. The department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering, and is partially funded with over $40 million in endowments. These positions will be based at Clemson’s International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) innovation campus in Greenville, South Carolina, but will have significant interaction with and presence at the main campus Mechanical Engineering facility. The CU-ICAR campus (http://www.cuicar.com) currently houses 20 companies and has interactions with over 200 industry partners, including top global manufacturers and suppliers. Mechanical Engineering (https://www.clemson.edu/cecas/departments/me/) on the main campus comprises 37 faculty in manufacturing & design, solid mechanics, and thermal/fluid systems areas.
